I've always fancied rides; all kinds of rides but most especially roller coasters.
It's the thrill of falling and knowing at some point in your fall you'll rise back. It's also the way your heart feels like it'll leap out of your chest; all inhibitions gone as you scream your heart out. It's the way the wind blows across your face and how the speed makes you forget everything except for a wish that you'll get through the ride unscathed.
That's what roller coasters feel to me and that's what I got and more as we visited Six Flags.
We left San Bernardino at around 8 in the morning and arrived around 9 or so. We had to wait for the gates to open so we hang around with the other riders and forced our friend to participate in the games. It was lame, really. But if you knew someone involved, of course it was fun.
At 9:30, the gates opened and we already made a deal that our first ride would be the
X2 where apart from the ride spinning along the rails, our seats will be spinning along with every move of the car. It's been a while since my last roller coaster ride so the feat was there, but I forced myself to overcome it knowing that it was only the "first-time" jitters acting up.
My heart was palpitating as the car moved but when it went through the rails, the fear was taken over by adrenaline and I screamed the hell out of myself. It was an extreme ride and I swear I felt like I was being beaten while on the ride. I felt like a punching bag, it was crazy. But I had so much fun anyway.
The next ride we went to was
VIPER and I can only guess, after riding, that the reason why it was named that way was because of the many loops it had. I can't recall exactly what happened, but I know my friend and I were sitting at the very front. I also remember how I almost got a stiff neck since I my face was colliding with my boobs. SERIOUSLY. But apart from that, there weren't any more memorable happenings.
Once we got of the ride, we decided on going to Tatsu, but then the line was really long and we didn't think we had enough power to wait, so we went to
ROARING RAPIDS to cool ourselves down. It was a light ride, where a group of 12 were in some giant tire/raft and we flow through some kind of stream, only with rapids. DUH? There wasn't anything special to it; it was only fun because we got wet.
Since we were already wet, we just decided to cool ourselves down extremely and bought lemonades as we started walking around the park. We wanted to ride
SUPERMAN, since it was really blazing fast, but it was unfortunately closed so we decided to go to Batman.
On our way to Batman, we found the bat mobile and started taking pictures. A while after, we found Aquaman walking around and started taking pictures with him. My friends even teased me, saying that I was only half his height. Well, I really was.
But instead of going to Batman, we decided to take a ride at
WONDER WOMAN. It was like a giant roulette that goes around faster and craning higher. It was so dizzying but we rode it anyway and we were laughing like crazy because of the faces that we made. Hilarious.
Getting off of Wonder Woman, we met with more characters of DC Comics (Green Lantern and Wonder Woman) having pictures taken with random people in a corner, so of course, we took a picture with them. Green Lantern commended me for my green watch, go figure.
After which, we went straight to buy caped to prepare ourselves for our Batman ride, but decided to just take
RIDDLER'S REVENGE first. It was really a fun experience because we were standing and I dubbed it my 2nd most favorite ride in Six Flags.
We then moved to
BATMAN and we were so ready with our capes and everything, but I got disappointed because the ride was so short, the adrenaline rush hasn't even gotten halfway and it was over. I mean, yeah, I understand that roller coasters were supposed to be short rides, but I didn't expect it to be
that short.
Then we started lining up for
GREEN LANTERN and our wait was sooooooooooooo long, it was making us sleepy. The heat of the sun, plus the long wait was so exhausting. We were about 5 foursomes away and we were just anticipating for the ride, when the intercom sounded, saying that they encountered some difficulties and that there was a delay. We tried waiting, almost reaching an hour, but it was no use. We were tired and hungry. A lot of people left and we were almost a foursome away when the intercom said that the delay will be extended so we just left and ate at Johnny Rockets.
After the ride, we walked around and decided to go to Tatsu, but passed by
NINJA. We decided on light rides since we just ate, but we didn't expect Ninja to not be as light. I thought it will be boring since I couldn't see the rails from where we walked along the park, but I was wrong. It was a fun ride too, especially that the dude over the mic by Ninja kept shouting "Hiyaaaa~ yaaa~ yaaa~" It was so funny.
The Ninja ride was so taxing for me and I ended up in tears, not because of the ride, but because my make-up was melting and it went to my eyes. Since we were riding Tatsu next, I didn't want to look like a crying lunatic, so I went to the ladies room and washed my make-up away and freshen up.
Then we were ready for
TATSU.
The line to Tatsu was so long and it was a very long wait but I knew it was worth it. There was a part in the line where the mist sprinklers went so out of hand and me and my friend were there, under a shower, so wet. It was okay though, because we were so refreshed and we dried off quickly because of the heat.
Anticipating for our turn at Tatsu was nerve wrecking. When the seats moved and the riders were situated in flying positions ready for the ride ahead, I felt my heart leaping. I can only imagine running that way, flying with a harness, it was crazy.
When it was our turn, I screamed my heart out.
I can't explain it...
All I know was it was the best ride I've ever ridden so far.
THE BEST.
I can't wait to go back to Six Flags again and this time, record each ride. That'll be a memory.
